Distributed computing is a field of computer science that deals with the computation of distributed systems. Distributed systems are by now very common, yet remains a difficult area of research. The results of new technologies coming up is that it's not only feasible, but easy, to hold together a computer system packed of multiple network computers, be they too large or too small. This paper focuses on distributed computing and its various applications in a research perspective. The idea is to have a deep research on distributed computing and an analysis on the development trends in distributed computing. This article also introduces the various application fields in distributed computing including real-time applications like GPS, ATC, IRA etc...
