Commercial transactions that are communicated by means of electronic ways are E-Commerce. Electronic commerce refers to technologies such as mobile commerce (M-Commerce), electronic funds transfer (EFT), supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange (EDI) and automated data collection systems. This paper is outcome of review of various research studies on E-Commerce. In this paper different opportunities are studied. It brings an overall view of the growth of E-commerce in Maharashtra. This paper highlights various key challenges and opportunities which Maharashtra E-commerce Industry may face because of demonetization of currency.
